Thoughts of a Healing Heart

"There are places I'll never see, people I'll never touch--hearts I won't ever truly hold but I am still me. That has always been the only truth there is to see. I'm still out here under the sun, in this land living someone else's dream, knowing someone else is living my dream but that's life, isn't it?  We never really get what we want, in fact, we get even less than we want..."

Look at the world through my eyes now that you've left the streets nameless and the people faceless. Tell a story of the unfamiliar. And this heart--you stitched permenantly to my sleeve; it wasn't ever yours to conceal. You hunted until you found every weakness that made me beautiful. You're a vision, fading--a nightmare in the making. They say, the black widow spider sunk her teeth in you. She played you a special song, told you, you were worth it all. The purest soul could not withstand that poison. But it did.

You must not change in order to alter the opinion of another. Do not attempt to love those who are forbidden. If you happen to fail at this, I ask that you allow your mind to be the eraser of your hearts mistakes. We cannot afford to harbor resentment for anyone else's demons but our own...
